So Amazingly Simple!

This CHRISTmas, I have been thinking about our wondrous Salvation Story & the amazing simplicity of it all! Paul did say that there is wonderful simplicity in Christ, & that if we are not careful, the enemy of our souls will distort that glorious reality in our lives. He said to the Corinthian believers: "But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ." (2 Co.11:3, NKJV) How tragic when the Lord Jesus Christ has done it all for us that so many believe they must do something or go somewhere, or in some way earn their salvation. I was thinking recently that though I know myself all too well, since I have trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior, there is no way that I can be lost! What joy that brings me in this CHRISTmas season!

A magnificent verse of Scripture that recently came alive to me is Isaiah 51:6 that says, "Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished." About the only thing that will last is our salvation in Christ! It is not tainted by sin! I cannot earn it, or participate in it in any way except to simply receive it by faith! God is so good, & I trust that everyone reading this has received their eternal salvation by faith in Christ as well! May the Lord bless you & Merry CHRISTmas!

Bro. David,

I love to tell the Story -- of Jesus...

And what a great compelling job you did.

I also know that you may have one or more readers who know not for sure that they are going to Heaven.

So, right now I take the liberty to ask you reader who may not be sure of Heaven... Please trust Jesus Christ as your Savior, believing He alone is the only Way of eternal salvation. He died for YOU.

"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shall be saved..." Acts 16:31

"Now is the day of Salvation..."
2 Corinthians 6:2

Please trust Christ right NOW!

In Christ eternally,

ExP(Jack)

Merry Christmas brother. We are spending a late night putting gifts under the tree. God was good this year. We did not have the money and God provided by some anonymous donors and He gave me extra work to make up the difference. God is good. He specializes in mercy to us undeserving ones who spent most of our lives spitting in His face. I don't know why Jesus loves me, but I am sure glad He does. Some anonymous person recently sent us a Food Lion gift card as well in these hard times and just even yesterday a man shook my hand and said Merry Christmas while passing me a great sum of money and telling me, "I know what you truck drivers go thru" wanting to lighten my load. I am amazed at the love of God and how the sweet Lord reveals Himself in the most unsuspecting places...so much so that I got back in my truck and began to weep. Later someone put a big and heavy gift in our van addressed to the Hedrick family. My how good He is. May God be good to you this Christmas as He always has been as He is always good.

Grace upon grace,

Brian
