What Joy!

I don't know about y'all, but I have had a tendency since my earliest remembrance of being introspective. I don't mean just sort of , but to the point of almost making myself crazy. Well, you can imagine that in the matter of salvation, this can become very discouraging. But I want to say with joy in my heart that even in the midst of all my introspective questions that to this day pop up in my mind, the way to send them packing is to remember the wonderful promises of God to the believer in Christ! Some that clear out the doubts & fears in my heart are John 6:47, Matthew 11:28, Ephesians 2:8-9 along with Titus 3:5-7 among some others like Acts 13:38-39. Now I still struggle with living the Christian life quite often, but my wonderful Savior Whose Spirit lives in me helps me in that matter as well! Isn't it a joy above all others to belong to the Savior Who loves us so? I trust you all who are reading this have placed your trust in Him as well. If you have not, you can do that right now! He died for you! He rose again & wants more than anything to save you if you will but trust Him to do it! Thank you for letting me share this joy with you!

Been there and done that.

We will never find it in "Me".

Amen. Our righteousness is found outside of ourselves praise God and yet he lives within and we are sealed by His Spirit until the day of redemption.

Grace upon grace,

Brian

Man, bro. Brian, how true. I am so thankful that I don't look within to find righteousness! Romans 7:18. What a mess. Thankfully we can look away to Him! ONLY LOOK! (& live!) Thanks for being so faithful to post on this blog, bro. Brian. Hope you & yours are well. God Bless.

David,

Matthew just posted this over at his site:

On being both the patient and doctor

I guess pastor Mcvey posted it recently. I am very thankful for the gracewalk ministry as well. What a blessed thing it is to see how the body of Christ helps where we cant always see and also heals when we dont know how by encouraging us to get our eyes back on Him and His grace.

Grace upon grace,

Brian

Bro. Jack,

Once again you said it clearly & in few words. Thank you.

Bro. Brian,

Interesting combo there at Matthew's (not Clark) site & Vance Havner! I've been a fan of good ol' bro. Havner for years upon years (note the play on words as to your excellent signature!). He was another much like bro. Jack who could say a lot in few words. Unfortunately he wasn't always clear on the Gospel, however. He was a good ol' Conservative Southern Baptist much like myself otherwise (except I ain't very good! I am old & SBC, though! 2 outta 3 ain't bad!)
Y'all are blessings untold. But I done told ya anyhow!

I believe it was John Bunyan that said that our righteousness can never make His Righteousness that is imputed to us any better. He also said that our lack of righteousness can never make His righteousness any worse. God will cannot condemn us because we stand in His righteousness that is perfect and never in our own that will always be anything but perfect. It makes no sense to ever strive to be right in the sight of God by our own works when we have it already in Christ. Look only to Him!!
