I remember my Dad had my grandfather's '49 Chevrolet Fleetline passed down to him, & one of my favorite things as a kid was him letting me "drive" as he actually drove, but let me put my hands on the wheel! Kinda reminds me of Matthew 11:29! The Lord can use just anything in our lives to point us to Him! Too bad we find ways to use them to get in the way of our fellowship with Him. Hey, you keep coming back, you grace this blog each visit! I sure do enjoy spending time at yours. I am sure the GM fans are a forgiving lot.

I don't imagine a 63 galaxie would stay around too long.

I don't know what Ford was thinking with those LTD 2's though or those fairmonts, but a Ford was always dependable even so in my book.

This Lincoln has a 4.6 V8 and I get about 25 mi to gallon on highway.

Sandy and I cruised in it today for old times sake and she buckled up in the middle and I drove down the road with my arm around her.

Good ol after church Sunday cruise.

Grace upon grace,

BrianBhedrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08091896907803479900noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8498887749183363008.post-63226462563995822252009-03-08T16:13:00.000-04:002009-03-08T16:13:00.000-04:00Bro. I am a Ford fan, or at least used to be, but I know all of them have good & bad. I agree with you about the big Fords! A dream car for me would be a '63 1/2 Galaxie with 427 4-speed. My wife's cousin had a mint condition '63 1/2 with 390 for sale. It sat in the yard a total of about 5 days & it was gone. I wanted it so bad I could taste it! But it was not practical & the Lord as always, knew best. Thanx for sharing your sweet memories! I bought an LTD in the Marines and everyone asked me why in the world I bought a Grandpa car when they were buying new sporty models, but my heart skips a beat with these big Fords. I love em. I started driving Dads 73 LTD limited classic when I was a kid. Loved it.

This Lincoln is smooth brother. Kinda like a Sl-0-RYD:-)

Yeah. Float my big boat down the river.

My wife hates it, but she drives the mini-van. Still she remembers those good old dates in the LTD. She didn't care back then.

She still doesn't. She took it for a spin last night and I kidded her, cause her father, who is with the Lord now loved Lincolns...so it'll grow on her bro.

Again...love the post and...

grace upon grace,

BrianBhedrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08091896907803479900noreply@blogger.com
